Many people suffer from allergies. While it's fine to go out and get medicine to control the symptoms, some people would rather try to treat allergies with more natural methods. Find out what some natural ways that you can use that will help you deal with your allergies.
The first thing that you need to do is avoid mucous forming foods. These are things like dairy, wheat, red meat, bananas, and others. These will cause more mucous which will make you feel more stuffed up. If you don't notice this from one of these foods, continue to eat it. If you notice problems, limit what you are eating as much as possible.

Drink more water. Water is not only good for your body but it will thin the mucous that is forming in your body. This helps take off the pressure of your allergy problems quite a bit.
Eat more foods like walnuts, fish oil, flax seeds, and other types of seeds. Many of these are anti inflammatory foods. They can help limit the allergic reactions that you are having to things.
Try eating local honey. Start off with a very small dose of this honey to make sure you don't have a reaction. If you are fine, start using this on your food or in your tea. The local honey helps build a resilience to things in the air you might be allergic to.
When you come into your house, change your clothes. Have some inside clothing that is just for the indoors. This helps you keep the outside allergy problems just outside.
Use a neti pot. This is a device that is used to reduce congestion. It's very natural and can be used a number of times. This clears the nasal passages.
Wash your hair before bed. You don't want things you are allergic to to get into your bedding, pillows, and on your eyes. When your hair is washed, this won't happen.
